Flank Steak and Sausage Roulade with sautéed Button Mushrooms

Double protein alert! You know you’re in for a delicious meal when there is beef and pork involved in the same dish. This roulade was simple to prepare but oh so tasty. I think the addition of the sautéed button mushrooms caramelized with butter and garlic really took the dish to another level. There is just something about a meaty and flavorful mushroom that makes me salivate. The roulade was actually grilled by vegetable hater so I guess I can’t take all the credit. Usually I do it all but the mushrooms were very high maintenance and I also had to make the salad, so in the kitchen I stayed *sigh*. I would much rather man (woman?) the BBQ than stay in the kitchen any day. But I guess I should be thankful that I have help preparing meals every once and a while 😁.
