So I cannot take the credit for the delicious sauce that topped this chicken tonight. I replicated the recipe my mamma made for me last week, it was so good I had been thinking about it since then and I just had to try it! It came out almost as good as hers… maybe after a few tries I will perfect it. I used chicken as the protein because that’s what we had taken out but this sauce is quite versatile and I could imagine it poured over a nice steak or pork dish as we’ll. It reminded me of a chicken a la king but without the filo.
Since the sauce was inherently rich, I thought that a simple and fresh side salad would be enough to round out the dish. It filled me up perfectly and my week-long craving was satisfied! Thanks mamma!!
